It feels like a massage on the inside, that sounds weird does't it? Special Moment 1: Trying to get shit done in a hurry today cause in work world 4 weeks off is monster and at about 11ish a parcel gets chucked on my desk - simple enough, it happens alot. I open the sucka up and "no it didn't" it was a promo copy of Beastie Boys 2 disk DVD "I fuckin Shot That" and Dave Chappel's Bloc Party that don't get realised for a few weeks - get the hell out! I love my job at times like that. I am watchin the beasties now and it is just so fly it ain't funny! I think i will go deaf but it is worth having this sucka up loud, i feel like I'm at the concert - Best Concert Eva! Mish might vouch for that! (i gotta burn you a copy of this!) Special Moment 2: Walking out that door and knowing i won't be there for 4 weeks - priceless! I am so outta here!

Well its official Tim graduated on Wednesday! It wasn't as weird as I thought going back to Bathurst - its all still sorta the same...the eddy still has 'toss the boss' and stuff but it was such a quick in and out job (ermm remind me not to use that expression again) that we didn't even do a lap of Mount Pan! On another note I think I wanna redeem my Lindt Gold Ticket soon...mmmm choclate, me hopes there wasn't an expiry date on it!

11:11am: Winners are Grinners...but thats not the point
We won our first Netball match last night. And as goal shooter it feels pretty good. It was kinda weird to play with girls that you've known for all of about 5 mins before the game begins but we did pretty well and even left the court kind of remembering each others names. Look forward to more winnings...but as I said, its not the point - but its nice. Oh also, I kinda entered this local government art competition a couple weeks ago and i came second so I am getting my prize and award this afternoon and having a photo with the mayor and its going into the local paper - emabarrassing!

1:42pm: Working to the X-treme
Ok so I go out for a snack this morning and come back to the office and as i open the door this greets me.... Xbox gave us an Xbox 360 to play with...we technically should give it to the bar so students can play with it but ummm we don't want to. So for the past couple hours i've been kicking everyone's arse, well some say losing, I say kicking. It's pretty awesome to have one of these in the office...my eyes are going funny from playing too much! We are going to give it to the bar on Friday or maybe next week so for the next few days...its on and poppin!

2:27pm: The Weekend and THAT red netball skirt
On Friday Tim and I went to see Arj Barker at the Enmore and it was teh awesome! Very funny, some old classic jokes mixed with some fresh stuff so kinda like a Greatest Hits album with a few new singles. I met him after the show too which was cool and akward, cause what do you say 'you were funny, lets be friends?'. So we are friends now so i get to call him arjy barjy. "hey, you there...arjy barjy" hehe. So the real weekend (saturday/sunday) started and ended with a red netball skirt. You wouldn't think it would be that hard to buy a red netball skirt in Sydney given the population and the fact that is not Dubbo. I start playing on Wednesday night so i figure it was my last chance to buy a uniform so i wouldn't have to be the loser that plays the first game not in uniform - LOSER. So we head to Burwood Westfield...easy peasy...Target - no red only navy blue, KMart - only kids sizes, Lowes "on no we are a Men's ONLY Lowes" so then we drive to Burwood Plaza and its all ewwww being the Bizarro Westfield and smells funny. We brave the smell and go to that Lowes, they had red but only in size 6 girls...erm, go to Best and Less, same deal. Finally have a mini panic attack in the car park and decide to ring mum and get her to make Tim and I lunch cause I was hungry (no breakfast), tired, cranky and wanted my favourite meal. Mum, precious as she is heads straight out to Coles and on our arrival lunch is a cooking - bless her! So Sunday begins and the search continues...Rebel, surely a 'sport' store would stock red netball skirts FOR WOMEN. And sure enough they do stock ladies skirts but not in red. What the? Keep calm, keep calm, being at Broadway means there is at least a Kmart I can check, we left Kmart with easter eggs and winnie the pooh cuteness but no netball skirt. We go home...sad. Sitting at home having given up and ready to wear black shorts and be an outcast until I find a skirt I decide to look up Lowes on the internet and ring some stores... maybe they could at least order me one in. Whats this...a store at Marrickville Metro, just around the corner. ring ring "oh what's that you have a red netball skirt in my size and you close in half an hour" w00t! So not really sure what the lesson to be learnt is, maybe its the grass isn't always greener...who would have thought Marrickville, my home suburb would have the skirt just sitting there waiting for me. Not the odd one out now .... Carol WINS!!!! I would like to say i did other things on the weekend not related to said skirt but I just don't think that would be true.

3:27pm: The Funnies
Tim and I are going to see US comedian Arj Barker tonight at the Enmore. I luff him! He is pretty funny and i don't really get the whole comedy thing, i mean i don't go to the comedy store or appreciate when people try and make jokes through song, dressing up or being stupid but this guy is actually really real life funny. He does this bit about shpants, not quite shorts not quite pants...well that didn't do him justice at all but i think i didn't make my point perfectly! I really need some laughing out loud especially after the last little bit so i am hoping this will do the trick.

So my (*ahem* Tim you know i meant 'our') new camera brings me back to the world of writing in LJ. Brief catch up of March, O-Week at work wasn't as bad as i thought, met SMTKC's foreign correspondent Osmocote which was cool especially cause we got to be badass ninja's for a few minutes at Beachball, some stuff happened, been working semi-hard, some more stuff happened, been eating Easter eggs and Hot Cross Buns - I love pre-Easter!, some more stuff happened and went and saw Kayne West last weekend, on a Sunday no less. There is something seriously wrong with concerts on a Sunday night. So these will prob be similar to Mish's but here are my photos of Kayne and the first photos taken with my, i mean our new camera... tah dah

3:02pm: My Little Miracle
About two hours ago a part of me got run over by a car. Long story short my foot got run over by a car, like the whole tyre ran over my foot. It just so happens that the dude who ran over my foot works for me so he felt pretty bloody bad, which he frickin bloody should! The funny miracle type thing is that nothing happened, I mean technically I could of broken bones, gotten blood blisters and what not but nothing happened, like my toes hurt but thats about it! I figure I maybe Superwoman or something or maybe this is the Matrix and i am Neo and there wasn't really a car so nothing really ran over me...woah But if my big toe falls off in the next couple of days I am going to kill this guy!

4:05pm: Me So Tired
Its half way through O-Week at Sydney Uni and I am sooo tired. O-Week here is a weird thing cause its actually only 3 days but we still call it 'week'. And we wonder why people question the exorbitant fees requested to come here. In the immortal words of H.J.Simpson "I am so smart! I am so smart! S...M...R...T! I mean S...M...A...R...T!" O-Week is actually a pretty good time for me work wise, it's my fourth one as an employee and without fail I have become the official photographer again - I really don't know how that works but its fine with me. In other news I am looking forward to Oscars night, Tim and I are heading over to a friends place for an Oscars party (read: consuming copious amounts of champagne and pizza in the name of some guy called Oscar) and i just heard yesterday that my favouritist person in the world, Miss J-Lo herself is going to be a presenter! Oh and as per this news story about a shooting in front of Kayne Wests concert in England (read more here) I will bust a cap in somebody's ass if they try and pull any of that shit at his Sydney concert.

Yes - 360 is back and its four days after my birthday! It's on the 15th of April and PENDULUM are playing!!!!!! and for those who aren't dazzled by that Felix Da Housecat, Audio Bullys, Stacey Pullen, Tom Novy + others and some bloke named Ajax will be there too. More info hereYAY - SMTKC is nearly 1 year old...i use the word 'nearly' very loosely.

2:47pm: *Cough*
As of now i have worked for approx. 3 hours this week. I went to work with good intentions on Monday but left at lunchtime with a headache and now its Thursday and im about 70% through a head cold. Being sick bites the big one. I guess I should go to work tomorrow...and at least clock up one day this week. On an awesome note Scrubs Season 3 is out now on DVD and I think Tim bought it for me at lunchtime today - yay! I wish it came out earlier though cause then I could have spent my sickdays watching that instead of Ready Steady Cook - annoying! Good Vibes was the shiz! Skooge and Doug - put your photos online so we can seeeeee. Future Festival sounds good especially when someone offers pressies for attendees, will speak to the boss and see if we are going....hahaha who am I kidding...I am the boss. Oh on other good news I officially got my promotion this week and I am now a Manager...how weird, exactly 4 years ago I started at Syd Uni as a Public Relations Assistant and did all the shit kicker stuff and now I am a department Manager, with Manager type money and responsibility and people to manage - crazy! It was weird getting the news on a sick day cause I felt bad enough for not being there but then i just felt worse...but then I feel asleep and got over it. I have slept an incredible amount the last two days, I was only awake for about 2 hours yesterday!

1:49pm: Stuff n Things
Since I last wrote some interesting and some not so interesting stuff has happened. The weekend was killer! One of the best yet for 06. Tashs' Birthday Celebrations on Friday meant a night full of SMTKC madness. Tash's use of the 'called' call was my favourite of the night but there were so many gems that it was hard to keep up - SMTKC was definatley on their game and in full effect. Me proudly sipping my 'summer in a glass' lime green concotion of midori and pineapple juice. Tash: Hey Caz, the 80's just called and they want their drink back.Saturday was equally rad as Tim and I headed out to hook up with 22 mates most of whom i hadn't even met yet (all Tim's boarding school frinds from highschool) - very cool people... very cool, very drunk people. I left a very drunk Tim at 12.30 to go home, Tim got home at 5.30... So Sunday was spent sleeping. I even had a 3 and a 1/2 hour sympathy nap with him on Sunday arvo - best girlfriend ever! Other than that not much on the down low...TV is the shiz with all the new shows well into their second week and in a whisper as not to mention it too loud Skooge and I lost the tennis game last night against teesh and heidi even though we were both wearing out green 'original' SMTKC tees from parklife.

3:20pm: Winners are Grinners
So as expected and predicted by me, Skooge and I won tennis last night 6-4! Yes, we only played one set cause we only booked the court for an hour so it was all we could fit in. There were heaps of Duece, Ad, Deuce, Ad, heaps of christmas beetles on the court and a round of Killer Pythons afterwards... I opted for a Milko instead...yum! I think I only hit the ball a handful of times but I could tell by the grimmace on Skye's face that I was 'integral' to the team. We didn't really do the obligatory victory scream and cry but we danced like this.... ner ner ner ner I wish we had a camera though cause both teams went to the effort of matching their partners, Skooge and I had black pants and red t-shirts in true SMTKC matching style and then Heidi and Teesh rock up wearing red shirts and black skirts! arghhhh we looked like we were playing ourselves - what jackass'! The battle continues next Tuesday...

10:31am: Game, Set, Match.
That weekend was teh awesome! It was pretty much all about tennis. Actually thats a gross exaggeration... it was about tennis and chocolate. I played tennis on Saturday AND Sunday which was the shiz, thanks to the monster effort from the big dog, Tim. I am so obsessed with that game right now. I think I've finally realised that I do tend to get obsessed with stuff, i can never just like stuff, it always has to be to the Xtreme. And following my Xtreme love for tennis at the mo' I can't wait until tomorrow night when Skooge and I take to the court to kick Teesh and Heidi's ass at a Championship doubles tennis match in Concord. So much tennis...drool! And that's not even starting on how much tennis I watched on the weekend, LOTS... Tim and I had a Australian Open Men's Final BBQ on Sunday which we didn't think till after to invite people to so it was just us and some awesome lamb cutlets mmmm cutlets... Big Ups to Bagdahtis for being great to watch and Monster Big Ups to Federrer who actually won me over by finally showing some emotion, I hated him up until the point where he cried like a happy fat kid who just scored a big plate of Doug's brownies. Nice tie in to chocolate... Tim took me to the Lindt Cafe in Martin Place on Saturday and it was even more the shiz than tennis. I literally couldn't contain my excitement when I was given a jug of melted lindt chocolate to eat. Sure you were supposed to mix it in with the milk to make a hot chocolate but why spoil it with milk! It was great! Hot chocolate with a side of chocolate...and then Tim stupidly said I could grab what I wanted before we left...dumbarse! I ended up scoring a heart shaped tin thing (awww) with all my favourite hand picked Lindt balls...did you know they have peanut butter flavour!

Wow I could not feel more technologically impared than I do today. Too many things happening - trying to sign up to a Yahoo photo album thing so i can post Australia Day photos which waas wOOt by the way, trying to incorporate more nerd talk in my language, hence the embarrssing use of wOOt just then, trying really hard to join an LJ community (SMTKC) that I should be Press Officer for and all the while trying to do as little work as possible because fuck being at work on a holiday sandwich. Like it was a public holiday yesterday and a weekend tomorrow so why am I the vegemite in the middle - it should so be a day off dammit, very unAustralian.

3:46pm: B Ball Blues
Lunchtime BBall used to wicked fun. It was very casual and especially cool when it was girls against boys cause even though they are twice as tall as us we would kick their ass crazy style. But all of a sudden a player has emerged as a bit of a 'Soup Nazi'. She is full on and makes playing not fun. Most of the time i want to do this to her... and most of the time I think everyone else would cheer me on but then I would probably lose my job, get put into jail, Tim would leave me for someone who wasn't in jail, I would start making really crappy paintings on the inside so I could profit from my criminal activity and life would just be pretty dull so instead I am going to grin and bear it...geddit. Oh and Skooge, I'll give you one guess who it is in my dept...you'll only need one.

11:03am: Cake and BBall
Following on from one of my random thoughts yesterday... in particular the one that went something like 'damn I really, really like... possibly love chocolate cake'. I made a chocolate cake last night and it was sooo yum. A bit too yum to be 98% fat free, but i guess you don't need fat to make a cake taste good, its more all about the sugar, so pound for pound this thing probably had more sugar in it than fairy floss. And I totally forgot to bring a piece to work today WTF! Well, i didn't actually forget, i even wrapped a piece up in gald wrap, a substantial piece by the way but for some reason after eating breakfast I was all 'im not hungry right now so I guess i don't want to take that to work'. Holy shit what a dumb arse cause know im dying for a piece of chocolate cake. Sorry if that was a lame story, but I've got about 2 hours to kill here (work) before we play basketball at lunch, and since I'm a bit bored, I thought it would be fair if you were bored with me.

3:51pm: Fashionably Late
This is a very late first entry for the year, but if i was ever going to get back into LJ world it needed to be before February. So at least I get some runs on the board for doing that. I haven't really been concentrating at work today which has in turn led to a day full of random thoughts that I can't seem to stop. So to kick off my 06 LJ experience... which I like to call 'The Experience' here are some random things I'm thinking about right now... 'Looking forward to some picnic love with some SMTKC peeps on Australia Day', 'I really wish I was a pro tennis player, I could give that Swiss Miss a good kick up the arse', 'I wish I was Kate Beckingsale in that Underworld 2 movie... black latex wearing, vampire & warewolf arse kicking vixen!', 'I wonder if I could fake a headache so I can leave work now', 'I miss Tash, I wonder when she gets back?', 'I really like chocolate cake', 'I wonder who would win if Mish and Tash play a game of doubles tennis against Skooge and I'... and so on. NORMAL.
